I’m Ciel Incarnadine, a multidisciplinary artist based in Bogota, Colombia.
With over 15 years of experience as a freelancer, I thrive when faced with a challenge, a story, an opportunity to break conventions and work my magic. My passion lies in crafting meaningful, visually compelling designs that resonate with those who have been historically kept in the fringes of society.
About the Work
visual alchemy and transformative storytelling for a new aeon
Myths prevail at the core of our connection to the past, to each other and the ways in which we wish to shape the future. They represent an unbroken thread of connecting cultures and traditions, and give voice to beliefs and ideas that might otherwise be cast out as inconvenient, in an unjust world. Myth-crafting is the magic that brings my work to life, and allows me to build upon my client’s visions.
As someone who refuses to be defined and revels in indulging curiosity, my work is a reflection of the same principles by which I have learned to move through life.
Embodying the capacities of a shapeshifter, I’ve had the opportunity to take on a wide range of artistic expression and skills over the years. From working in museums, designing interactive exhibitions, to making masks and puppets,
and leading empowerment workshops for queer youth. Each project and undertaking I engage with informs one another, weaving relevant narratives and encouraging dialogues.
Currently, I am mostly engaged to my tattooing practice, however I am always interested in working across fields and disciplines, to create pieces that captivate and help you tell your story.
